"Reserve" Clothing Store

Post by Brad »

I heard one of the higher ups at Pepperjax last night saying that a Clothing Store was going to occupy the other 2/3 of the building.  This is the old Hollywood Candy building on 13th and Howard.  Pepperjax faces north and so I am guessing the clothing store would use the existing 13th Street entrance.

I think he said vintage clothing, but I don't remember for sure.

I saw a billboard last night as I was headed north on 42nd street right by I-80 that said something called "Reserve" 13th and Howard, but it also mentioned Goodwill on the same sign.  Goodwill would technically be vintage, maybe the nicer clothes that get donated?

Yes, I just got this from Trenton:
Vintage clothing and accessories store called Reserve by Goodwill Industries.  Instead of selling more on the Internet they are opening some of these stores around the country.

Construction is well under way, as I saw yesterday. So pretty inside!
Also, a friend says there's signs up.
Rumor no more!

The best experts in the field have conferred and debated and reached the verdict that this is LAME.
A marketing ploy in order to make rich old ladies feel better about themselves by not having to resort to going to low class "regular" goodwills, where the prices aren't insanely high, hence "ghetto".

So "experts" believe most of Reserve's customers to be rich old ladies.  Yep, that sounds consistent with the Old Market demographic.  Perhaps the little old bitties can get a spot of tea at Billy Frog's when finished.

Goodwill’s Reserve 99 store in Old Market is closing
A lack of foot traffic and parking ultimately led Goodwill not to renew its lease and close the Old Market store, the company said.
Its last day in business will be May 19, Goodwill Omaha spokeswoman Kris Pachunka said.
