I did too.  I wonder if the hill it sits on kind of throws perspective off or something.

4th floor added.

I know why I thought it would be taller.  I had in my head 4 floors, but wasn't considering the parking below as one.  Makes sense now.

Still going to be awesome for downtown!

Another amazing infill project in the downtown area.  I hope this project ignites a furry of redevelopment right up the Leavenworth corridor and transforms it in to one of the hottest places in town.  There is so much un-tapped potential in that area.  With projects taking off on both ends, its only a matter of time.

Nice, although doesn't look like they intend to accommodate any street level tenants, huh?  No doubt it will be more defensible when the zombies come though.

I like how the building fills the entire lot - or at least it looks like it from the street. No goofy looking surface lot taking up half the property. Well done.

10 urbans for you!

"Urbans" are my new point system, similar to "internets." Points are awarded based on the rationality, logic, and coherence of one's statements pertaining to urban development and transportation. Negative points may also be doled out, meaning that it is possible for forumers to sustain point deficits.

Which is a rare mixture of homo-erotic condescension. You don't want his internets.

Thanks. I don't expect to be getting anymore. In the meantime, what do I get to do with my urbans? Can I cash them in and get some cheap Chinese-made trinkets? Maybe a timeshare?

Where is this rendering from?  Does that suggest they plan to renovate the building next door?

Found it on one of the apartment rental sites.  I just hadn't realized there is a public courtyard for residents tucked away in the back corner of the building.  I would think it would never see sun light.

Although there has been a guy touching up the bricks all the way up the side of the skinny building next door using a lift.

That's an encouraging sign.  Who owns the building next door?  It's a great-looking old building.

I think you're confused by the rendering. The building you see is the building directly to the west, Lofts At The Market, not the empty building to the south. This courtyard is in the SW corner of the new building.

OK, my bad.  It would be nice to see something done with the building to the south, though.

The outside looks just about done.  Not sure I like the signage, but I guess you need to get your name on there somewhere.

Weird, I'm just now noticing the different shades in the renderings.

Thanks for the updates. Looks like they're doing something to the building next door?

Great photos Brad! That place looks pretty sharp, and it's interesting to see there might be work going on next door.  It kind of looks like they've cleaned up and painted the steel posts and lintels in the facade.

Great photo tour on Dicon's facebook page of this place.  The courtyard actually looks like a great space for the residents.

Is the courtyard enclosed or are those pillows weather proof?

Looks pretty cool regardless.
