Looking good! It's very modern, but I like that building.

BTW, I hadn't noticed until now that the Cubby's sign looks like a pole-mounted sign that's just mounted at ground level. Usually, gas stations will put it in a short brick wall when height restrictions prevent them from putting it up high.

They started with the brick work on the northwest side of the building today.

From the 23 second mark to the 26 second mark frames look oddly familiar to this....

Image

I guess he could have pulled right in after me and got the same shot with the lift at the same window with the same shadows and everything...

Wow those are incredibly similar. Looks like theirs doesn't have the construction worker in it. About the only thing I can tell different.

Upon further review, he did pull in right around the same time as me. There is a worker in mine that is not in his.

The colors are a bit different and he doesn't correct his lens distortion, but I thought may be that was an effect when he did the 3 images of the same thing on the video.

I am looking forward to the wood accents on the front. Should look pretty nice and a little different from the rest of downtown.

They added a lot of paneling/whatever the material is on the south west corner of the building. It's pretty hidden unless you look while heading down Leavenworth. I assume we'll see some on the front soon.

It looks like they have installed a small section of the wood accents on the northeast side of the building as of about 2 hrs ago. So far it looks much darker than what the rendering showed.

Agreed. Darker than the rendering, but I think this building will look great when finished.

Yeah, if it looks anything close to the finishes of their other building on 14th and Leavenworth, it will look fantastic.

That would should be interesting looking. Wonder if they were going to leave the sign behind it as some sort of artifact that people will find in the future?

More likely, to lazy to remove..."Aaay...somebody better take this down, or we're going right over it". Add whatever accent you might imagine to that.

Did you get a close up of that paneling, or can you crop to just that section?

No, I have not shot a close up. But I shoot everything in RAW so I can easily zoom in on one area.
