I also got a pic, from down on 10th and Capitol. There were about three semis lined up on Capitol with more pieces of the crane loaded on them, as well.

Is that the final height of the crane. I would think it should be higher than the one for the Hyatt Place. That building is only 11 stories but the bottom few floors were parking, which usually doesn't have much height.

Assuming the Marriott is around 175 ft tall, I would think the crane would be close to 200 ft.

Assuming the Marriott is around 175 ft tall, I would think the crane would be close to 200 ft.

It looks like they're erecting the mast as tall as they can with an affordable mobile crane, and then self-climbing the tower crane to the final height.

200' is about as tall as typical building-construction tower cranes can freestand (without tie-ins to a separate structure), so that's about what I'd expect for this one.

Drove by and saw the whole crane erected, this development and HDR HQ is going to fill a massive hole in our skyline, can't wait to see it go up.

Oh, I know that trick as I've done it many times in the past. But it doesn't work with all graphic drivers.

From some directions the crane looks massive and from others you can barely see it. I thought for sure up above the market it would stick up higher.

Has it been mentioned on here the Davenport Street will be extended to 10th street? Right now it stops at 11th street.

It doesn't appear that it is going to open to 10th St though. I think that is going to be a circle to drop off guests. Here is the site layout: There is a larger version of this on the capitol district's website
