Looks nice enough. I still think No Frills is going to struggle with this open now.

Word in the industry is thatsome of these Walmart markets in the tougher areas (50th and Ames as an example) are not doing the business they were expected to. Not sure why, but I have a feeling that the No Frills there is going to suffer big. The walmart customer and no frills customers tend to be the same.

I call on both the No Frills & Walmart on Ames as a broker's rep. I think the speculation that the No Frills will suffer is spot on, they already are not very busy. As for the Ames store, over half the people hired prior to opening were fired due to theft. The store is clean, nice & have good core of people, but I wonder what made WM think they could build a store & succeed when Kroger closed the Baker's & Super Saver only lasted a year. They have a huge theft problem. We shall see how long they will stay, tho they aren't known to close stores

Pay people living wages. Then they will value their jobs and not steal from their employers. Everyone wins.

Qdoba is building a stand-alone store near the Panera/Ace Hardware building on Saddle Creek. It will be a corporate owned store with a new design for Qdoba. It should open in mid-2015.

The 72 and Pacific Qdoba just kills it! They are busy all the time. I am sure this one will be even busier.

There was a dumpster in front of the bay next to Panera the other day. If something decent goes in there that area could be a crazy busy lunch stop.

Qdoba has a lot more variety than Chipotle, but Chipotle is higher quality.

I prefer Qdoba, I think the food is just as good and there's less sanctimony.

Well I'm already addicted to Chipolte and this isn't to far from me so I'd better stock up on Chipoltaway.

I'm sure, but I think its still cheaper than the $1.75 that Chipolte charges. Qdoba also has the locality card so every 10th burrito is free.

I also think Qdoba has better locations. Qdobe seems to be everywhere I go, Chipolte seems to be out of the way from where I go.

While all of these projects along Saddle Creek are pretty standard "suburban" style all of this activity and new business along N SC says a lot about the strength of the surrounding neighborhoods to me. Just a couple years ago this stretch was incredibly rundown with massive retail vacancies. Fast forward to today and all the way from Hamilton to Dodge has seen new fast casual food options, a new grocery store, a remodeled grocery store and the one nice Mega Saver in the city. The tax revenue from this mile or so of Saddle Creek has got to be way up from 2013 and it keeps growing.

Agreed, the Med Center is a beast with employees, visitors, patients constantly in and out. There is definitely demand for all of these things, maybe it just needed to start looking cleaner for people to take advantage of it.
