It would have been better if they said the last 6 months since the place isn't even that old, but good try Denver. The northwest corner of the 81 million dollar multipurpose facility has sunk 3.5 inches in the last year. The firm is predicting a doubling over each subsequent year. The risk longer term is a total collapse of the facility.

University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) Baxter Arena took home the 2016 Grand Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) at the Nebraska Engineering Excellence Awards Feb. 24. Though originally submitted for an award in the structural engineering category, the new arena, designed by HDR and Lempka Edson Architects, earned the highest honor as the best engineering project among all of the engineering projects submitted this year in Nebraska. Not only the best engineering project award, it also captured the People's Choice Award.
Nearly two years after hiring its first arena manager, and seven months after opening Baxter Arena, UNO is looking for a new leader to run the facility.

Cera, a veteran arena manager, was hired in June 2014 to oversee the arena’s final construction and manage it after its October 2015 opening...........

Correct me if i am wrong, but i thought CLink was profitable.Greg S wrote:I have to think the financials of the arena are not hitting the projections. UNO athletics have not exactly been a model of financial stability and they have a lot riding on this working. Hoping the numbers they used to justify this were not out of reach. That happens so much with these things as we have seen happen with Centurylink and Ralston just to name 2.
