Son, there are a lot of things you will learn as you get older, and one is that you can't argue with a woman.

This doesn't mean a thing now, but Suttle lobbied the company pretty hard to get this building 4 floors taller. Â I wish I found out info like this a year ago, it would of been more relevant.
It is funny that we have complained for years about buildings that don't include parking inside the building. Â Now we complain with this building and the Hyatt that the enclosed parking is ugly.

I think the parking included in the building is great. Â Much nicer than a asphalt parking lot next to a building, but I think the landmark center garage is a great example of what many on this forum would like to see with parking garages. Â (Roja and Parliament Pub on ground level with parking above) That way the street level around the parking garage isn't a wasteland on the evenings or weekends.
Of course I don't want another free standing parking garage or an asphalt parking lot, I just think it looks funny... I wish we could be like other cities and have more underground parking.

I believe underground parking near the river is potentially a logistical nightmare.. I don't see any way you could accomplish this for the long term without huge difficulties in keeping water out and maintaining the strength of such a structure..

Shamrock's big development is going to have parking underground. Â At least under the central plaza.

YES.

Although their building might not be the most impressive height-wise, I do like how they varied the shapes from what usually exists downtown, somewhat. Also, as mentioned for the umpteenth time, higher-paying jobs will be staying downtown.

First signage went on the SE corner of the building. Â Also some of what looks like planters are paved on the north side and they look huge. Â Could be a heck of a lot of landscaping. Â Probably to match the sculpture park across the way.

What did they do for landscaping? I won't be able to make it downtown for a while :(
Just normal young trees and some small shrubs in the sidewalks. Â On the north side of the building the sidewalk has brick pavers and decorative lighting to match the rest of Capitol Ave. Â The south side is just normal concrete sidewalk.
