I've never been in that building. Where is the courtyard?

Its not on the ground level, but its on 2,3, &4. Its not open air, but it may have been at one time. It has kind a translucent roof on it.

I noticed they installed a sign on the south side of the building stating Hotel Flatiron .

So does anyone know what kind of commercial enterprise this property will be? The sign is kind of vague.

Despite the signage, there will be no hotel here. Too bad. That would have been kind of cool to have a boutique hotel in this building.

I was wishing that puddle was a little bigger last night... before we got 2"-4" of rain!

My firm did some of the work on this renovation. Pretty rewarding to have a hand in the preservation of an Omaha landmark.

Am I going crazy, or did the fire alarm in pic #2 just disappear?

Dude!!!
When fortune smiles on something as violent and ugly as revenge, it seems proof like no other that not only does God exist, you're doing his will.

Reminds me of the trailers for the new American Horror Story season. Will Lady Gaga run this hotel too?

And the emergency light on the wall materialized. This ones with safety devices are obviously the newest.
It all looks great, nice remodel! Is there an ADA accessible entry as well without stairs?

And, now that we are actively aware of this little game... In the last pic, another emergency red box magically appears on the right wall...

Nice Catch. When I am shooting Architectural photos for clients, I usually try to remove all the ugly fire alarms, sprinkler heads, air vents, etc that stand out in the photos. Sometimes its not possible and and sometimes when the kind of blend in to the background I let them go.

#3 I was having trouble with that wallpaper on the curved wall and #6 I must have missed, because those need to go.

Architectural photography is about as far from Journalism as you can get.

Yes, there is a ramp right next to the elevator that winds around the back side of the elevator up to street level, but I am not sure I followed it to see what door it came out.

I did not know you edited your photos. It is also a good thing you did not remove the red tag from the electrical cord on the lamp. HUGE FINES FOR DOING THAT.

Birdhouse (Jessica McKay), who Flatiron chose to select the finishes throughout the building, (see previous pics...) design the lobby and transform the three-story interior courtyard area into a shared lounge space for tenants, will now have a Showroom in the building! Congrats Jessica!

I could be remembering incorrectly, but was Birdhouse based out of Hutch before this move?
