G.C. Moses Block
Looking at some of the upcoming City Council proposals I noticed that the owner of 1232 S 13th (Brian Gentry/B&W Starters and Alternators) wants to finally convert the vacant second floor into apartment(s). This 1890 building is just north of one of my favorite overlooked buildings - the G.C. Moses Block (1887), which currently houses the Christian Science Reading Room, a Tattoo Parlor and another ground floor retail bay. I've always wanted something a little better for this area (not that a religious institution and an artistic studio are not worthwhile) so that it was more prominent along 13th St. I tried looking through my files for a pic but its probably on a disk somewhere in my closet...

For some reason I just love that block!
Re: G.C. Moses Block
Looks like something pulled straight out of a north side Chicago neighborhood.

It's beautiful architecture.
Re: G.C. Moses Block
I wish there was a more concerted effort to spur development on South 13th. Not that there aren't good things happening already however.

Design-A-Sign is or will be in this building. Not sure if they are open yet or not.
