Mention of TIF for this branch. Maybe a renovation?

Well it looks like they put in a temporary building on the property. Will be interesting to see if they simply redo the building or start fresh.

After spending almost 50 years in the building at 3500 Farnam St., Security National Bank of Omaha will demolish its oldest branch there and build a $6.1 million facility in its place.

About 40 employees will work from the new building once construction is complete in April 2016. Demolition is scheduled to begin within the next few weeks. During construction, customers will be served in a temporary building set up at the northwest corner of the lot.

The new building will have about 11,000 square feet of usable space and will include a branch, a bank operations center and a conference center.

Great investment from Security National. The building looks good and the design helps the street wall as well.

Did they already start Demo on the parking lot? I thought I saw that they did a couple weeks ago. I was at the Moon for Reuben fest yesterday and I didn't even look over there. I will look when I go back for round 2 today.

Glad to see they are going to stay and reinvest in the neighborhood. That is a good strategy, given the strong redevelopment growth in the area, and their history at that location. I like the new design too.

The ROW will be expanded here to add 21 diagonal parking stalls on the street. That will be good for Beer Corner.

I think this building looks better than what was there, but I might be in the minority in not really liking the final design. I wish it was something bolder like the Veridian Credit Union building at 21st and Broadway in CB.

I think this fits the neighborhood better than the Veridian building would.
