I overheard someone talk about plans for an 18 acre development owned by a Gary Bittner east of the Trailer Park and south of the OPPD plant. I thought this used to be close to a transient hangout and would never be developed.

I missed that part of the conversation and I am just guessing that this area was what they were talking about.Linkin5 wrote:What kind of development?

I doubt it will be anything too important, its in between a factory and a trailer park. Its highly unlikely a company would make an HQ there or anything like that. Most likely something industrial.

Jeff continues to mention on Grow Omaha the metro has a super low industrial vacancy rate of around 3%.

That was what I was thinking also... As the North Eppley Industrial complex grows (is there a real name for this area?) and housing (that trailer park) gets pushed aside, will we see this area get more developed? What happened to that industrial park on the west side of Carter Lake...MTO wrote:Jeff continues to mention on Grow Omaha the metro has a super low industrial vacancy rate of around 3%.
But I thought that this lot would stay vacant for years to come, since - I may be mistaken, it is a dangerous transient campground.
Re: North Riverfront Development
It would be great to see it developed.

We have been working on a small industrial project on the lot just a little east of this (still in the photo). Should be starting construction any day now if it already has not started.
