Sing says "coming fall 2017" it's going to be fun watching them get this up in under year.

Looks like progress has slowed here with the cold, but what stuck out to me are the roads are all down to 2 lanes here (one each direction).

Does anyone know what's going on with the roads? Is it infrastructure changes due to more usage or was it just time to tear out the roads and rebuild / repair?

Progress has slowed on this development due to a possible additional medical tenant on the ground floor, so the developers will have to redesign part of the interior first floor, same apartment density 63 units. Construction set to resume mid april.

There was a post on the project's Facebook page that said they have been able to secure a tenant for the ground floor.

Hopefully things can get moving here this summer.

After reconfiguring that first floor tenant's space, construction will restart next week.

They had to reconfigure the lower level because Children's approached them about leasing the space that was designed for retail. It's starting soon.

The sign on it says “opening fall 2017” looks pretty stupid at this point.

Besides the Hilton Garden Inn in Aksarben Village, this has to be one of the slowest construction projects in the metro. I understand that they had to take things back to the drawing board and retool but this was originally scheduled for completion in summer 2017, now they will be lucky to have it done by summer 2019.

Yeah, it’s amazing how quickly things can get done when you have no worker safety protections.

Worth noting that the 1930 Empire State Building had a whopping 5 deaths (1.47/1000 workers) (even more impressively the 1930 Chrysler building had 0 deaths) compared to the 1970-1973 WTC which had 60 deaths (17.14/1000 workers).

I believe around that time the proverbial formula was that there would be one worker death per $1 million spent on a project.

Pretty shocking number for the early 70s.

Piano Building in Dundee could see changes in the future
The future of the building has caused a stir in the neighborhood. The building is currently available to lease.

Near the intersection of 49th and Dodge in Dundee stands a historic building familiar to many area residents. The "Piano Building" before it was, was once Dundee's one and only hotel. "It was built as the Dundee Manor Hotel in 1943 and operated until 1953," Jim McGee, Dundee Park Memorial Park Board Historian said. McGee said the building was also a stop on what was Omaha's historic street car.

Yes, it did....when Roman Coin Pizza came in. There was also a really great bike shop in the basement from the back of the building. Haven't been there for a long time but I would like to think it is still there and remains.

With the cramp parking, residential using ORBT is a good idea. Now if CVS goes away, things could change.
