According to KETV's story, demo is going to begin in July with completion of the project scheduled for next summer.

I like that much better.

I look forward to seeing this built but .... I don't know why the street lights are wrong for the area. They should match the Dundee style. The narrow double slotted windows look prison-ish to me, but it might just be the long angle.

I absolutely love it! Look at how the 'E' turns into the 'F' on the corner there. That is cool. What a neat, sharp-looking residential project. Great mix of materials & facades. I really like that wood strip look that is very popular right now.
I can get pushed out because I'm "too much" for some. Then, an observer of me comes suddenly swooping in to "fill my shoes." People are always more accepting of the new one, because their feathers aren't truly ruffled by them. (Yawn) I can count on it every time.

That looks better, though I still think they could throw in some more retail.

After buying up more property along Dodge Street, developers are thinking big for Dundee Flats
recent acquisition of two more properties already has expanded the earlier site plan to nearly an acre on the south side of Dodge, east of 49th Street. Before, Sage had secured only the corner transmission shop and its neighbor to the east. The purchase of the converted house and its neighbor have raised what before was at least an $8 million project to a nearly $11 million, four-story project.

One neighbor, for instance, wanted to know why an earlier rendering did not include Dundee-style light posts. Moser commented that it was a good catch and would be handled.

If all goes as planned for Dundee Flats, demolition could begin next month

I ran into one of the managers for this project today and invited her to join the conversation, seems like they really want input about this project!

Its great to see all the support the community is giving the developers of this project. I know they would appreciate any and all input from members of the community :D

I love this project. We saw another infill project like this during the Omaha condo boom in the mid 2000s, and I think the future will bring more medium density projects.

Build it!
Rendering is missing the large stop light on the corner and the fire plug where the people are standing. Hopefully they can take out the ugly "war of the worlds" street lamp as well and actually put in the style now shown in the rendering. Any of the former renderings would be nice but this one looks great.

I'm actually happy they changed the sign. I thought the E-to-F thing was... a stretch!

Anyway, this building is looking fantastic all around.

Well it sure looks like they're all set with the fences the dumpster and other hardware on site. It'll be interesting to see which dirt lot along east Dodge actual gets started first.

Looks like they are starting with mitigating the floor hoists pits. Many decades of motor oil and tranny fluid in that soil.
