I think it looks like a great fit for the space. Finally a development maximizing the space they are using.

Where do you go to see all this stuff? Is it the TIF application from the city website?

Its links off of the City Council Agenda.

The documents turned into the city are linked in each agenda.

I don't think it looks too shabby. I wonder if they'll ever change the setting on their scanner from black and white to 8-bit grayscale. Assuming that have a scanner that was made within the last 50 years, it would only take 2 extra clicks. These muddy black and white scans are terrible.

Just did some quick Google Earth Measurements, Looks like the Hampton Inn in Aksarben Center would fit on this lot with room to spare.

Marking utility lines?
I think I heard boundary lines...
I drove by today and the only thing I saw marked were Utility Lines. I didn't see any kind of survey markers.

I thought I saw survey markers there last week, but that wouldn't make any sense if they took them down.

Some times they will have the utilities marked and then survey the utility markers so they can see where they actually ended up before they building the building. Sewers are about the only thing that are completely built to plan. MUD will build the Gas and Water to their own specs and the rest of the electrical and communications lines are just kind of trenched in where there is room.

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but anyone know what's going on at the far north end of AV? The southeast corner of 67th and Pacific. It used to be a grass hill, and they've had earthmoving equipment onsite. Is it just a rebuild of the hill with some sort of retaining wall, or is there actually something going in there?

Parking garage. There's either a thread about it, or it has been mentioned in a different thread.

Yes, at least demo of the parking lot occurred in October 2015. If they haven't yet, they should be starting construction soon. I will have to drive by there sometime soon. I was also wondering if anything had gone vertical yet.

No, it had not gone vertical as of noon yesterday. I posted photos of the demo in one of these threads last fall.

I noticed there were Olsson surveyors on the Hilton site, so I approached them asking what was going on. It appears that there was a problem. Either they had initially surveyed the property incorrectly, or, the garage was built across property lines. Oops. They still believed ground breaking would be in May.

We can't tell yet. It is now March. If I remember correctly, Jay Noddle told me that the temporary parking lot was going away in March. When that was done we would know something is serious. I ran into an HDR manager today and he said he had nothing new to pass on, so we talked about the Sandhills Cranes instead...

Interesting. I thought they already did a surcharge on that lot several years ago. When I was doing a photo shoot for Pinhook when they first opened, there was a lot of dirt on that lot, lat least 4 feet higher than it is now.

I'm guessing this lot is simply the repository of all the dirt being removed from the hill up by Pacific Street.
