I completely forget who I was talking to the other day about this and they told me to YouTube hololens and Case Western... (and then show my nephew hololens and Minecraft...)

The building will be called The Global Center for Advanced Interprofessional Learning, creating the nation’s most advanced experiential health care training facility. It would be a more improved version of The Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center in Toledo. $25m seed money has been given by the State and they need to raise $80m in private philanthropic funds.

UNMC is converting the bottom level of their south west building on 175 and Burke into a sergical center.

Asked a few more people and it appears they are rearranging the entire building in addition to the new sergical suite.

It will mostly be Diagnostics with a pain clinic and oral surgery. This space was previously unused so there will not be any rearrangement. Eventually to the east they will build more doctor offices,

This new cancer center is looking incredible in its size and they styled the glass walls very nicely.

Neat!! That place is absolutely massive driving by. They have almost all the glass on, too.

How are the pharmacy school, outpatient center and parking garage shaping up?

Any news or progress on the hotel site?

The pharmacy building looks mostly done from the outside, the outpatient building is starting to get windows and haven't seen anything yet at either hotel site.

The $11.2 million project will be funded by private donations, including a lead gift from Walter Scott Jr. and his late wife, Suzanne.

I can only imagine the photo opportunities... I have a feeling I'll even pop in from time to time for some katharsis.

I hope they demo the parking garage sooner than later, would kinda block the sunlight..

UNMC selected as one of 20 nationwide to create 'medical school of the future'
The American Medical Association (AMA) today announced that the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine is one of 20 medical schools selected to join its Accelerating Change in Medical Education Consortium.

The consortium's goal is to enhance the innovative work underway to create the medical school of the future and quickly spread these innovations to additional medical schools throughout the country. The medical schools will each receive $75,000 over the next three years to advance the AMA's innovative work aimed at transforming undergraduate medical education to better align with the 21st century health care system.
