Post by Brad »

Omaha's new performing arts center has officially been named. The new addition to the metro landscape will be known as the Holland Performing Arts Center.

Longtime residents of Omaha Dick and Mary Holland gave a significant gift to the center.

The facility, located at 13th and Douglas, is scheduled to be completed in October of 2005.

I think it's a fine name. "A symphony concert at the Holland Center." It's got a nice ring to it.

To be honest, Iwasn't even expecting this. I figured they would just leave it as "the Omaha Performing Arts Center."

That is a very good name. I can see it now: "Mr. Holland's Opus Performing at the Holland Center."
