1307-1309 Leavenworth (Creighton Clinic)
I did a search, but have been unable to find a hit for this. Â There is a good bit of renovation work going on in this block, including the old City Weekly building, and I noticed new construction in the back of these buildings, including behind the Creighton Med office at the corner of 14th and Leavenworth. Â Anyone know what is going in there? Â I could swear I saw something in the paper a long time ago.
Always a business-oriented city hungry for growth and focused on development with laser intensity, Omaha aimed high, reached for momentum and found critical mass.
Josh keeps saying that he needs to post something about it. Â It looks like new garage construction in back and the buildings are totally gutted. Â He asked a guy that lived in soma last night, but he did not know either.

The lower lever of these buildings are being renovated for the expansion of the Creighton medical office currently located in those buildings. Â The upper floors will be apartments and the garages being built are for those tenants.
The south side of the building that was removed was done so because it was in such bad shape structurally.
This has slowed the project down a little bit but that's the scoop.

Yay! Â Thank goodness they are expanding the Creighton facility there. Â The patient load is unbelievable. Â Apartments will also be nice. Â Sounds like a good project.

In today's OWH article about the new CHI Building on 24th & Cuming, it mentions the Old Market location will close at the end of the month.

I didn't catch that. That is too bad, it was nice having that building with a good tenant.

Or you can go to the shiny new facility on 24th and Cuming... Seriously though, that new building was designed to be patient first. Lots of the same concepts as Think. Specialists available for pull in (not another appointment); one stop shop for doctor visits, pharmacy, lab, radiology; 1 stop registration/billpay.MTO wrote:Blast that's where I go! Nebraska Medicine will open a clinic in downtown Omaha later this year.
Clarkson Family Medicine, currently located near the Nebraska Medicine – Nebraska Medical Center campus, will move into a building near 13th and Leavenworth in downtown Omaha. The family practice residency has been in its current location at 42nd and Douglas Streets for 27 years.
“With residential and business growth downtown, there’s a clear need for access to health care. Nebraska Medicine is proud to be able to offer our expertise to people who live and work downtown,” said Dan DeBehnke, MD, MBA, CEO of Nebraska Medicine.
The new space will have 16 exam rooms, consultation space, a procedure room, lab and x-ray. Renovation work is being done in the building right now. The building was previously used as a CHI Health clinic. Details about clinic operations are being arranged. It’s expected to open this fall and will eventually join the growing list of Nebraska Medicine Immediate Care Clinics providing walk-in care on nights, weekends and holidays. Clarkson Family Medicine will continue to operate in its current location until the move this fall.
