Again, that's about the lamest thing anyone could volunteer their time to do.

SprayGround planned at Shadow Lake Towne Center
Leia Mendoza, World-Herald Staff Writer wrote:The shopping center at 72nd Street and Highway 370 in Papillion is transforming part of its center court area to include a number of interactive water features.

The SprayGround will replace two original fountains and will measure about 70 feet by 30 feet. It will include an umbrella with water flowing up and over the top, a soft rubber sphere for children to play on, water tunnels and water jets from the ground.

...

The SprayGround will operate throughout the week and weekends during shopping center hours, but will be not be available during special events like the concerts.
According to the article, it will be open next month just before Memorial Day weekend.

Pier 1 Imports will open its third Omaha area location at Shadow Lake Towne Center in time for the holiday shopping season.

The home furnishings and décor retailer is expected to open in the fall in a 10,340 square-foot space in the perimeter of the shopping center near Charming Charlie and Subway.

A new Maurices store will open March 20 at Village Pointe Shopping Center, and the women's clothing retailer is moving to a new, larger store Friday at Shadow Lake Towne Center in Papillion.

Maurices will occupy a 5,300-square-foot space on the west end of the main street at Village Pointe, near 168th Street and West Dodge Road, next to the Gap store. The store is moving down Shadow Lake's main street to a 5,200-square-foot store next to the Jos. A. Bank store.

Shadow Lake also will add Sola Salon Studios, a new franchise that rents studios to hair stylists, nail technicians, massage therapists and other beauty specialists, on March 21. The salon will contain 21 single studios, typically customized by the stylists.

The opening of a newly constructed mortgage loan office for Charter West National Bank, based in West Point, Neb., will open next to Shadow Lake's Old Chicago restaurant in mid-March.

Since I don't know what you mean when you state "by Dicks" I have no idea which lot to research to help you.

Sarpy and its communities don't let you search building permit information like Omaha does. Sometimes, you can search the lot address or legal description in Google and get a hit on the project information within city or county meeting minutes. You can lookup the lot information on Sarpy County GIS (http://maps.sarpy.com/sims20/).

I'm no Nancy Drew, but I think he means the large lot next to Dick's Sporting Goods.

Papillion recently issued permits for a Firestone at 11751 S 73RD ST, which would put the building in the red square to the east of the sporting goods store:

There is a three or four story office building being built on the South East corner of 72nd and Hwy 370.  I am not sure who the tenant will be.

The office building on that south east corner  is SAC's new headquarters.  I was wondering what they were building by Dicks

I drove by today. The org question might not be answered yet. They are starting something in the parking lot near Dicks sporting goods.  It is basically on the concrete where 73rd and TownE Center Prkw intersect.  A large section of the parking lot is torn out with a construction trailer and heavy equip there.

I drove by there, and I have no clue what's going in the Northeast corner of the lot east of Dicks. Judging by the size of the parcel, it might be a fast food restaurant or something like that.

It is much, much too large for a fast food place.  More permanent brick construction, too.

That's the Firestone which is going up on the East side of 73rd St.

On the northeast corner of the Dick's Sporting Goods parking lot,  part of the lot is being torn up to build something. That's the new mystery. Maybe they'll put up a coming soon banner eventually.

It looks like this will be a three bay building with a Sprint store and two additional tenants not yet named.

Also, from the same OWH story

The American Eagle Outfitters store closed at Shadow Lake

The Mattress People will be opening

Spirit Halloween will open a seasonal store again this year.

Read the details at the link from the OWH

This Apartment complex has very little in this thread so I will add the information a friend gave me after visiting the Shadow Lake Square Apartments Today. There are 135 units open and complete. There are 60 units in progress and nearly complete. The leasing agent stated that they are adding two additional 60 unit buildings .. so another 120 units proposed, can anyone confirm the proposed units?

Can't confirm the proposed units, but Brad did post some pictures of this apt complex last week. It looks nice and is a nice higher-density development in the midst of all the suburban houses.

Its a beautiful Complex! Great landscaping, a pool overlooking the lake, really nice finishes inside.

All that said, I don't know how many are done and how many are under construction.

Looks like there will be two more on the way. The builders information is Two additional 43 unit buildings in Phase III = 86
Phase II completed in Sept 2015 = 43 Units
Phase 1 complete 09/2014 = 134 Units
================================================
Looks like 263 total

Just had a story on KETV that the Shadow Lake HyVee has new lights at the checkout lanes. Instead of On for Open and Off for Closed, they are Green if the lane is moving fast and yellow if the lane is moving slow.

Seems awesome for two reasons. One is that it will show customers which lane is fast, but hopefully it also motivates slow checkers to get a move on...

That is great! They should take it a step further and have variable wages for the checkers...more $ per hour the faster they get people through. Although, sometimes its the fumbling customers that are slowing things up....so take some $ off their bill if they get their stuff and high-tail-it out of there.

Now if they'd only add a light indicating whether or not the cashier is old enough to ring up liquor purchases...

Gosh yes. I'm always trying to guess which checker is possibly old enough to check liquor. I can't for the life of me figure out why grocery chains don't hire more people of legal age to check out customers. Hy-Vee seems the absolute worst.

Hy-Vee usually hires a lot of 15 year olds for baggers and cashiers. I was 15 when I started there.

Wheatfields at Shadow Lake closed on Sunday. The other two locations remain open. Official word is that they declined to renew their lease because they plan to open a different concept somewhere in "West Omaha" soon. Unofficial rumor around Papillion is the rent was so high it made profitability tough, which would make sense if true -- though the restaurant had its' detractors it was typically packed with lines out the door for brunch on weekends and steady during the week. Not the kind of place that usually closes suddenly.

That's a big empty bay now, and with the old Gordman's still empty, leaves Shadow Lake without two "anchor" tenants...

I was out there last month and counted 9 empty storefronts on the "main" street, not including the Gordmans building. That's quite a few!
