Second Blatt Beer & Table

Post by #1Cheeseburger+ »

A source deep withing the planning department downtown tells me The Blatt will be opening a second location out at Legacy.  It will be located in one of two yet to be built buildings behind Blue, Dante, Shucks, etc.  These new buildings will be something completely new to areas west of 72nd street, true mixed use.

I'd be happier if they'd just build a Zestos out west.

I wish the Zesto's downtown was more than a part time operation.

Woah that is a pretty substantial development. Funny how little it gets noticed on 170th.

That's only the first of two buildings.

The new location, in the Shops of Legacy at 168th and West Center Road, is serving many new menu items, including soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches and entrees. Some of the favorites from the north downtown location make appearances, including the Blatt Burger, but they are joined by two new burgers, a veggie burger, falafel sliders, two pork sandwiches and new entrees, including chicken fried steak and smoked pork pasta.

The new location has more than 30 beers rotating on tap, a full sized shuffleboard game and five television sets.

Of course, the night we decide to check it out, they put it in the OWH. Place will be packed to the brim.

Ended up not getting in and went to DJs on Q (no open tables and didn't feel like waiting). But Blatt was busy as heck and much needed out west. There just aren't that many 'bar' bars past 144th or so.
We actually stopped by after DJs to check it out and had to go to Parliament because we had too many to comfortable hang out at the Blatt. Really nice to see those kinds of crowds outside of downtown.

But I still prefer the dt bars.

Blatt West is adding what appears to be a 3-season patio out back. Looks like its about complete.

By far the superior Blatt. They have a food smoker and never have a limited menu. The service and food out West has blown away (no matter how busy they are) what we have experienced downtown the last few times we went. We stopped going downtown because the experience was horrible.

I didn't realize that they had opened a location in Dallas. I was down there a few weeks ago an someone suggested we go to the Blatt and it caught me off guard.
