I am sure part of that was waiting for the right number of houses within "X" miles. Â I would assume with Elkhorn already established, they might be closer that the Pacific Location was.Axel wrote:The Hy-Vee on 180th and Pacific owned its land for around 10 years before they built, so who knows when it will actually be built.

Re:
Actually over 15 years. Bill Clinton was still in his first Presidential term when it was originally announced. It was Minarded, ala Wall Street Tower, for most of that time.Garrett wrote:The Hy-Vee on 180th and Pacific owned its land for around 10 years before they built, so who knows when it will actually be built.
No doubt a grocery store is needed in Elkhorn. The only one there really is a Super Saver at 204th & Pacific. The only question is whether another chain beats Hy-Vee to the punch.
Re: New HyVee - Indian Creek (204th and Maple)
Even if someone beats the to the punch, this is still an awesome location not only for everyone in the Elkhorn area, but also for everyone taking west maple out to the smaller communities, Waterloo, Valley, Etc.
My money is that they will start once the 96th and Q remodel is finished.

I don't know how accurate this is, but a search on all of our Hy-Vees turns this up:

They are starting the remodel of the Stony Brook location addition before the Applewood makeover is finished (which will take at least another year).Brad wrote:My money is that they will start once the 96th and Q remodel is finished.
Re: New HyVee - Indian Creek (204th and Maple)
Yeah, but that remodel will be on a much smaller scale than 96th and Q.Coyote wrote:They are starting the remodel of the Stony Brook location addition before the Applewood makeover is finished (which will take at least another year).Brad wrote:My money is that they will start once the 96th and Q remodel is finished.

Re: New HyVee - Indian Creek (204th and Maple)
My bad, and it's the one I have been going to more often the last few months...
Re: New HyVee - Indian Creek (204th and Maple)
has anyone heard or seen updates on the 204th and Maple HyVee location? I see they still own the land.
Re: New HyVee - Indian Creek (204th and Maple)
There was a thread around here where it sounded like they were focusing on remodels for now and that a new store here isn't actively in the works.cafereef wrote:has anyone heard or seen updates on the 204th and Maple HyVee location? I see they still own the land.
Re: New HyVee - Indian Creek (204th and Maple)
They owned the pacific street land for 10 years or so before they finally built.

Re: New HyVee - Indian Creek (204th and Maple)
The HyVee store director I am neighbors with thought the Elkhorn one would go in after the Gretna one.
And after a few more stores get the new larger look/refurbishments done - including Shadow Lake.

Douglas County Assessor confirmed this in 2011...
Indian Creek development may be the location of Omaha's next Hy-Vee

Re: New HyVee - Indian Creek (204th and Maple)
Reviving this after 5+ years.... I'd argue it should be moved to Rumors lol, but HyVee does own the land. Has anyone seen or heard any updates on the Elkhorn HyVee at 204th and Maple?
Re: New HyVee - Indian Creek (204th and Maple)
HyVee actually owns the land. It also took them longer than this to build 180 and Pacific location. Go look that that thread, people kept saying they would never build they location too. Thread is fine here.

Re: New HyVee - Indian Creek (204th and Maple)
I know HyVee owns the land, just asking if anyone has heard of any update on them proceeding with the build out? Moving to rumors was sarcasm.

Re: New HyVee - Indian Creek (204th and Maple)
The corporation might be waiting to see how their giant Gretna location fares before deciding what type of store to build here. I would think that there are at least that many people living within 2 miles of this site on West Maple as at their Gretna location. And really no major competition.
