Forty-four acres of farmland near 60th Street and Nebraska Highway 370 sat undeveloped just six years ago. Now an $85 million retirement community that will feature several levels of care and luxury amenities is nearing completion at the site.
The $50 million final phase of Hillcrest Country Estates retirement campus, the Grand Lodge, is under construction and scheduled to be ready for move-in early next year.
The facility will feature 102 one- and two-bedroom independent living apartments, 30 assisted-living apartments and memory-care housing for 30 residents. Amenities include an indoor saltwater pool, underground parking with a carwash, putting green, pub, coffee bar and bistro, fitness center, library, theater, and a salon and day spa.
