While I was searching this I found a picture of the Southport Professional Building that should be completed soon across the lake from PayPal:
(I like all the trees. Hope they do plant them)

I then found this at LoopNet
It appears that this grading is the new PayPal building with Pinnacle Bank and Hampton Inn near the entrance to Southport East.

PayPal, the Southport Professional Building, and the PayPal grading going on across Grace Port.

Does anyone know what this building will be to the East - across the West Papillion in Brook Valley?
At least I believe this is still Brook Valley between the West Papio and heck Creek.
This is the first business on that side of Brook Valley - right behind the Harrison Hills Apartments.

While driving to work on Giles I've noticed that myself. I just assumed it was a warehouse/light industrial building... another successful local business expanding it's operations.

Thanks for the photos!

If you look where it says replat two on Southport East, that is what this picture below is of. Where the Hampton Inn is going, you can see PayPal in the background.

So did you have this entire route planned out before you left? Thanks again Brad. I wonder how many times you are going to hear that.

Actually I was running an eron (how do you spell that anyways?) I got done and just started going until I ran out of time, that is how it usually works.

I could always get an A in art, Architecture, photography, Sculpture, but I was happy with a D in spelling.

Another place to hang your hat

Image
The architectural rendering of the new
Hampton Inn & Suites planned for Southport East.

La Vista Sun wrote:According to council documents, no restaurant or lounge/bar is to be constructed, and the hotel will require about 30 employees to operate.

The hotel, because of its proximity to the Millard Airport, must also complete the Federal Aviation Administration permit process, said City Engineer John Kottmann.

"The height of any structure, including cranes and equipment used to build it, must be reviewed by the FAA," said Kottmann. "All building structures in the Southport East and West developments will need to go through this process."

It appears that Pinnacle Bank has broken ground in Southport East. I haven't seen any signs of any other development in Southport yet.

Thanks Brad. I had noticed that new grading yesterday across from Pinnacle and was wondering if one of the hotels finally was being built. I love all this development in La Vista - but now it means more traffic lights I have to run through to get to I-80 :x

Speaking of traffic here, I haven't driven through in over a week... have they opened Cornhusker along the creek back up yet? That is a REAL nuisance... tease us with it's convenience, then close it right back down.

Not yet. I do not know right now when they plan on being completed.
They are actually making a whole new section of Cornhusker so that the intersection with 96th St evens out. It will be a little further south of the present Cornhusker and front the Juvenile Detention Center.

yeah, I drive by there every day... so I'm pretty familiar with what's happening there. I'm curious to see what happens between, say, 84th and 90th Streets. Are the corrugated metal building businesses/storage business/etc... going to remain?
