I know! I was really disappointed when I saw this.
But - it fits in well with all the other boxes along West Maple.

Awesome!  There really just aren't enough JC Pennys in Omaha.

There are exactly the right amount of JC Penneys in midtown and downtown.

Oh that's right... you'll soon be slipping into your urban skinny pants.  Meanwhile, I guess the rest of your 'neighbors' will continue shopping at the Good Will and Dollar Tree stores.

This is just to the west of the Starbucks/Verizon strip along West Center.

Four Pendings in one location seems a bit much., but I haven't tried it yet, so I'll hold my judgement.

If you don't like it give "Available" a try. Here the wait is not long.

Just noticed a new Dollar Tree is opening next to the Buffalo Wild Wings in front of the Lowe's. I think a mattress store was there before.

Looks like Firehouse backed out. Maybe Jersey Mike's or Potbelly might consider locating here.

"R Taco" has opened. I gave it a shot today - kind of a "Chipotle-wannabe". Quite a few different types of tacos - I tried a brisket one, a chicken one, and a ground beef (I think it was called the "Texican"?). The ground beef one was actually the best, the brisket was decent and I didn't care for the chicken one at all. Tacos were all around 2.50 a pop. It was absolutely packed at around 1:30pm. Curious how this place does once the Amigo's opens and the Chipotle food scare kinda dies down.

I love seeing this go up. I have waited so long for that lot to be built on. I like Gordman's, and I like the barn-like accents on that health-orientated grocery store. And, I like how the stores are kinda staggered high on a sloping hill.

I love that area's name: "Greyhawk." I think Indianapolis used that name, too, in its suburbs. (Indianapolis is a town I've gotten to know a lot more in the last several years. It has a lot of nice things about it, like Omaha. Its greenery is more lush & beautiful, though.)
I can get pushed out because I'm "too much" for some. Then, an observer of me comes suddenly swooping in to "fill my shoes." People are always more accepting of the new one, because their feathers aren't truly ruffled by them. (Yawn) I can count on it every time.

Gordmans to open new Omaha store at end of April
The new 50,000-square-foot store will be at 14933 Evans Plaza, just south of West Maple Road in the new West Grayhawk Shopping Center, and will open April 28. Gordmans, founded in Omaha, has five other stores in the Omaha area, including one in Council Bluffs, and 103 in the United States.

I went into the new store on Sunday. It is very nice. Now I am wondering how long it will be before they shut down th one on north 90th.... That one has been ignored by Gordsmans for years.

On a sidenote I went to R Taco also --- prices were reasonable tacos were good.

Is Amigo's still going in here? I know everyone said R Taco is different enough but I went by here today, and nothing is going on where the Amigo's was supposed to go.
