The H&M announcement makes me happy. Would it be an outlet or a regular store?

I have no clue.
They also mentioned at the end of the show that there is a 60,000 square-foot waitlist. Several retailers all adding up to 60,000 ft.² of waitlist…

It was sure busy last Saturday. Had to park out in the North 40 again!nebugeater wrote:Imagine what it wold be like if the mall was successful.
Re: Nebraska Crossing Outlet Mall(Gretna)
I noticed the crowds on Saturday too. Went by at 3 on my way to Lincoln. Could not take a long look due to interstate traffic but the parking lot looked completely full.

Living back in Gretna now for a little over two months I can say it is usually busy. The weekends are really full of people. What surprises me is that when I pass by on a weekday say maybe 4 - 5 PM there are way more cars there than I would have guessed.

It was mentioned the round-a-boot was being removed because apparently Nebraskan's are to stupid to figure out how to drive around a circle. Guess we need to start making things Larry the Cable Guy proof.

If they replace it with a 4-way stop intersection, I can see it getting REALLY backed up on Saturday!MTO wrote:It was mentioned the round-a-boot was being removed because apparently Nebraskan's are to stupid to figure out how to drive around a circle.

It is. One of the expanded locations takes out the roundabout.

Re: Nebraska Crossing Outlet Mall(Gretna)
On the east end of the mall this AM when I went by about 6:30 AM there was a truck dropping off a roll off dumpster. IT was probably a 40 YD one and it was a ways from the building. I think it was in the vivacity of where another of the added building will go. May be a sign that they are starting although with the Holiday shopping season upon us I would not be surprised if things didn't start until Jan.

Re: Nebraska Crossing Outlet Mall(Gretna)
Ulta Beauty part of Nebraska Crossing Outlets expansion
Ulta Beauty will open a 10,000-square-foot store at Nebraska Crossing Outlets as part of the shopping center’s new expansion, the developer said Wednesday. It will be the national beauty store chain’s first location in an outlet mall.
The Ulta Beauty store — along with a 24,000-square-foot, two-story H&M — will open at the outlet mall at Interstate 80 and Nebraska Highway 6 this summer, Yates said. Although lease details have yet to be finalized, Ulta will be on the west side of the mall, across from Pieocracy Pizza and Rackroom Shoes. The H&M will be in the southwest portion, just south of the American Eagle Outfitters Factory Store. Construction on those two new buildings will probably begin in early March, he said. The new stores are part of a four-building, 70,000-square-foot, $15 million expansion.
Nebraska Crossing Outlets, which is a little more than two years old, currently has 334,000 square feet and 80 retailers.
Re: Nebraska Crossing Outlet Mall(Gretna)
LOL, not to be a snot here but Ulta is not news. We've known about it since around the first of the year.

It did say that this will be there first outlet location. Wonder if it will have any "outlet" deals or if it will be a reg retail location in disguise.

It's quite small compared to Hobby Lobby and even that dollar store.

Re: Nebraska Crossing Outlet Mall(Gretna)
Nebraska Crossing to get gastropub; Local also has location downtown
This should be a great addition to NEX. The article mentions that a full-service restaurant was the top request among shoppers. I couldn't agree more. I have only been there a few times but last time we visited with some friends from out of town, we thought of dining there but there was nothing that looked really good for a sit down place.Local Beer, Patio and Kitchen will open a second restaurant this summer, at Nebraska Crossing Outlets in Gretna.
The restaurant, which operates downtown at 10th and Dodge Streets, will open at the outlet mall in August. It will be in a 4,500-square-foot space formerly occupied by Big Cheese and Burger Star, which closed Tuesday, said mall co-owner and developer Rod Yates.
Charlie Yin, a partner in Local, said the restaurant in Gretna will be similar to the one downtown but with a pared-down beer list. The new spot will offer 30 local beers on tap instead of the roughly 60 available downtown.

Re: Nebraska Crossing Outlet Mall(Gretna)
I suppose something could have changed in the interim, but Voodoo Taco was open last weekend when I was out there -- and quite busy. Actually the entire mall was busy. People were resorting to parking on grass in a few spots because the lots seemed to be 100% full. At a couple of stores (Eddie Bauer, Vera Bradley), my wife and I had to wait in 10-15 minute lines that circled the store just to checkout.nativeomahan wrote:This World-Herald story omitted mention of Voodoo Taco. It's been busy the 3-4 times we've been there in 2016, but that was something else. Glad to see it, as we enjoy shopping out there.

There is some work that is starting for the first of the new buildings. The area on the West end of the mall is fenced off. There is some equipment and a trailer there. Some of the concrete has been taken out at the end of last week. Expect it will move quickly.

The Facebook page for Local Beer Patio and Kitchen - Gretna says that they will be opening this month in a post from a day or two ago.
They were posting for the hiring process a week or so ago.

If they can't secure extra land for more surface parking they are really going to need that parking garage. The problem is I don't Rod Yates does either without significant funding from tax payers.
