80th and Dodge Buckey's (NW corner)

According to the City Council Agenda, Buckey's is building a new store at 80th and Dodge.

Did CC approve it?  Last I knew Planning Board nixed it, and thank goodness as it was a terrible plan.  Too much on the available space.

Correct me if I am wrong, there are no gas stations when you are heading westbound, west of Saddle creek until you get to 120th street.  The gas stations located at 120th both have very poor access.  Lets hope the come up with a suitable design and build this.

There are gas stations at 50th, 81st, and 114th on the South side of Dodge.  Only the one at 50th you cant turn left if headed westbound, but the other two you can.

It doesnt look like this is going to get approved anyway.  The corner is ripe for some improvement but I hope we can manage better than a squeezed in Buckys.  There are still some viable SFR homes to the rear and it would be nice if the plan here played well with them.

Sorry I did not clarify, when I said westbound, I meant north side.  Right in right out access is key during rush hour.

Looks like cdub is right; the area (Tower Plaza) is going to be rezoned "to allow marketing and subsequent redevelopment for office/commercial use"

Anybody know if and/or when Bucky's will build in the old Borders on 72nd & Dodge? They've had the land for 2 years now.

Isn't that building up for lease, thought there was a sign on the Borders street sign who to contact.

I noticed that yesterday too....So, is that where a new Bucky's is going? ...wonder if they'll still have a full-service garage? That was handy, in a pinch. But they probably will focus more on fast/junk food now, following the trend.
He said "They are some big, ugly red brick buildings"
...and then they were gone.

These properties are owned by a Vistas LLC which is connected with Vrana.
They also have the four residential lots to the north, which should be demoed soon.
No access is permitted from Davenport, only 80th or Dodge St. entrances.
Project is office/commercial, but so far that is all that is known for sure.

I hope this is anything but a Bucky's! This is a good looking stretch of Dodge and I'd rather see a good mix-use project, even if it isn't a huge project.

2 new bank branches, mixed-use developments on the way to stretch of West Dodge Road

And Exchange Bank, new to the Omaha market, has plans for a 9,000-square-foot branch at 8008 West Dodge Road, a few blocks to the east, said Robert Panzer, Exchange’s Lincoln market president. It will be part of a larger building that will also include a 7,000-square-foot parking garage for bank employees and 14,000 square feet of leasable office space on the second floor.
