Exterior work on those retail bays appears to be complete, so I'm assuming its just waiting for leases and interior finish specifications from the tenants.... Knowing that we've already heard of Summer Kitchen's move, I'm surprised that at least this bay isn't further along. Makes me wonder if the announcement was premature here, and if they ran into hurdles signing a lease.

A Law Firm, Scooters, and Summer Kitchen are the only tenants announced so far...

If i'm not mistaken I thought the statement was Summer Kitchen/Scooters to open Fall 2014... That date has clearly come and gone. Heritage sure is coming along!!

Saw a guy in an orange shirt inside the far east retail bay this AM.. Indicates some work may start? Here's to hoping.

It looks like that whole eastern building wants to be Summer Kitchen, with the nic courtyard between the two buildings, but I can't remember seeing a drive thru on the east side, but I really wasn't looking for one, that is if they planned on having one...

I looked this AM and it doesn't look like there's an overt drive through on the east side. Not to say they couldn't make one. There were LOTS of trucks and people there this AM.. looks like work has started in earnest!

Looks like a drive thru at the east side, with the entrance coming in from the south, and a nice patio on the west side:

Nice pics!

Yep, my guess is Scooters on the East and Summer Kitchen on the West.. I doubt they'll take up the whole building so there's room in the middle.. My barber told me there's a rumor a Scotch & Barber concept is going in Sterling Ridge. Nothing I've found confirms that, though.

If this is like the one in Southport, Scooters will be part of Summer Kitchen, the drive thru shared by both.

One thing I did notice, is that there are no service entrances in this building, no storage rooms so far, it will be interesting to see how they fit this building...

The one in Bellevue is the same way.

The Tri-Faith Initiative has its Christian component in place.

That also released the money for the mosque.

Do we have a mosque in Omaha?

Nice! While I'm not a very religious person, I think it is very cool that this is coming together. And ironically along Hełl Creek. I'm not sure if the developers were even aware of the name of the creek when they started there. I sure didn't. Maybe this all a sign ;)

The main one in Omaha is the Islamic Center on 73rd, north of Maple. There are a couple smaller mosques too.

I've heard of that one, but it didn't register to me as a mosque, for some reason. It sounded like more of a community organization...

I don't think one has ever been built as a mosque.

I just know because when I was a senior in high school 13 years ago, I took a world religions class and I asked a speaker from the Islamic Center if they were going to built a mosque. His response was that the center was a mosque.

It seems like the put the retail really far away from Pacific. It is almost hard to read the signs on the building.

Welcome to a place built by dreamers': Ground broken for mosque at Omaha interfaith site
Construction of the mosque is expected to start this fall, said Mohiuddin of the American Muslim Institute, and the goal is for it to open in late 2016 or early 2017.

The plans for a Christian presence at the interfaith site took shape last month when members of Countryside Community Church voted to relocate there.
The cost is estimated at about $25 million, including land, said the Rev. Eric Elnes, Countryside pastor. Countryside already has $16.1 million in firm financial commitments toward construction, mostly from congregation members, who number about 1,500, Elnes said. Construction is at least a year away, he said.

Wouldn't surprise me if it became parking for Westside High.

that would make sense. They had a plan for a parking garage in the parking lot by the tennis courts

Article on retail going in Sterling ridge. Looks like one is about ready to open, lots of work going on in the west building.

About time something else goes in there. Its sad to see a nice plaza sit empty.

It's also a shame Summer Kitchen only took that small of space. Everyone I tell that Summer kitchen is no longer at 132nd & Maple, they ask where it went, then when they go... they tell me, geesh why so small!

The Daily Show filmed a segment about the tri-faith initiative last week. It's supposed to air February 29. Could be good publicity for Omaha.

Word on the street is a cocktail lounge in the far West bay and possibly gourmet burger or some sort of fast casual restaurant in another. Both would be great for the neighborhood IMO.

Wow. Very modern. Nice how it'll match the Jewish Temple.

Leased signs in the windows of the two end spots of the west building. I heard a small lounge in the far west spot and maybe a gourmet burger restaurant in the large east spot. Anyone heard anything?

Drove by and saw rough in construction in both bays and in the bay near Fashion Cleaners, but no signage.

Talked to a nice gal in Fashion Cleaners. She said "Charred" restaurant in the big East bay and "Trio" lounge in the West. Looking at a Septmember opening.
