Open for a week now, just in time to capture some CWS action...

Spring Hill Suites by Marriott opens

Jodie Ziegler, assistant general manager, and Lisa Yilmaz, general manager, lead the team at the new Spring Hill Suites by Marriott on Plaza View Drive, across from Bass Pro Shops and the Mid-America Center.
Spring Hill Suites by Marriott at 3216 Plaza View Drive opened Monday and General Manager Lisa Yilmaz says the hotel, owned by Capital Management of Kansas City, Kan., has a lot to offer its guests. . .

All of the hotel's suites have an alarm clock with iPod and MP3 docking and a couch that opens for an extra bed. Suites are available with king-size or double beds and flat panel LCD televisions are featured throughout the hotel, not only in the sleeping rooms, but also in the laundry room and the enhanced fitness center.

The fitness center features three treadmills, two ellipticals, an exercise bike, a weight station, free weights, an exercise ball and yoga mats. It also has two flat-panel TVs.

Guest rooms also offer a desk and work area for the business traveler. Each has a microwave and a small refrigerator. Rooms with two beds also have two closets and the beds come with foam and feather pillows. Handicap- accessible rooms are available.

The indoor pool features a distinctive row of waterspouts to one side, and guests have the option of relaxing in the hot tub.

The Suite Seasons great room just off the lobby offers a relaxing space with a fireplace and in the morning a complimentary Suites Seasons breakfast for guests. Meal choices range from sausage and eggs to fruit, rolls and oatmeal. A convenience store with ATM sits next to the front desk, and delivery is available from the Islamorada Fish Company and Starbucks that are just across the street inside Bass Pro Shops.

The lobby includes a business center with two computers and complimentary wireless and hardwired Internet. A 700-square-foot room can host up to 45 people and a smaller boardroom is available for groups of 20. . .
