A proposed housing project by Lake Manawa and new entry signs for six parks will be acted on by the Council Bluffs City Council Monday evening.
Local developer Mark McKeever is seeking council approval for a proposed 103-lot housing project called North Lake Village to be located on the site of the former Wooded Lake Trailer Park just north of Lake Manawa by South 11th Street.
The proposal for the now-vacant 28-acre site calls for 50 duplex townhouses, 96 apartment units and 50 to 60 apartment units for seniors, McKeever said. A clubhouse and swimming pool would also be added on-site. When completed, North Lake Village would offer an impressive look for motorists entering the park, McKeever said.
The Council Bluffs City Council Monday evening unanimously approved the first reading of an ordinance that would allow a residential project to be built by Lake Manawa.
