NP Dodge wrote:Whispering Oaks is the newest premier subdivision in Council Bluffs, Iowa. It is located just east of Council Bluffs at the corner of Greenview Road and Franklin Avenue. Whispering Oaks offers more than 50 acres of mature woodlands with wildlife, walking trails and biking trails throughout. It provides a community lifestyle with easy access to shopping, nightlife, schools and the interstate system.

Over 400 homeowners will enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets in this new, suburban neighborhood setting when completed. First phase of Whispering Oaks offers 150 prime lots with custom and semi-custom home and villa plans from Richland Homes, Pine Crest Homes, Pine Crest Villas, and Woodland Homes as your builders.

Close to both I-80 and I-29, Whispering Oaks is just minutes to anywhere in the Omaha metro area. It’s a quick drive to Metro Crossing Shopping Center, Iowa School for the Deaf, Lake Manawa, Mid-America Center, Council Bluffs Recreation Complex and more.

Friends we had when we lived in west Omaha moved to California 20 years ago. They decided they were ready to come back to the midwest. They decide to build in Wispering Oaks. Went to see their house this week. Awesome subdivision. The views are to die for. Wooded areas galore and walking trails all over.

The 2nd phase is getting started. New streets are being graded. Also to the east of Forest Glen is Forest Glen Estates. Construction is under way on homes. And east of that across State Orchard Road, The Hills of Cedar Creek is expanding again.
