I am not sure. All the FD signs are down. Only the marquee says "Now Open Kansas City BBQ" no other signs or information was up yet.

According to that link, that's in San Diego, and happens to be where the bar scenes from Top Gun were filmed.

"Kansas City Barbeque is a restaurant and bar located in the harbor district of San Diego, California. Self-proclaimed as the “Top Gun Bar”,[1] it is known for being the filming location for scenes used in the film Top Gun."

We went there with a Groupon (KC BBQ) and it was very disappointing.

The staff was really trying hard but not a lot you can do to overcome subpar food.

That was our exact experience as well, except the staff wasn't even that great when we went either.

That building has the hex on it and anyone that cant see it is drunk on optimistic koolaid. Best thing they can do now is make that building into a dentist office or anything but another restaurant.

It looks like another 5 Below store announcement. If I am counting right, that makes 3 on the Omaha-CB Metro: Metro Crossing, L St Marketplace and Bellevue.

Is it that building or just Omaha BBQ in general? You go to KC and every BBQ place is packed, but hear in the Omaha metro, most don't make it 2 years.

All those popular franchises in that area to compete with along with 3 failed restaurants at that location already = Guarantee Fail for any kind of restaurant that goes in there unless it is a well known franchise.

Has anyone eaten at Red Anchor? It went into Metro Crossing where Cox Bros. BBQ, Famous Dave's BBQ, and Kansas City BBQ all used to be.

Jersey Mike's is growing like crazy. I did a quick google and I see that just last year they were designated the fastest growing restaurant chain in America.

We ate there after it first opened. Thought it was ok. Nothing earth shattering though. I should try it again.
