New Subdivision for Treynor

Post by icejammer »

This will be great for Treynor, given the excellence of their schools, it's only a matter of time before they take off...

Stephens Ridge set to boost Treynor
Add a couple of cul-de-sacs, a few new roads with a park in one corner, a couple hundred homes and what do you have?

Only a growth spurt for Treynor that will increase by about half the number of homes in the city east of Council Bluffs with an 80-acre project valued at an estimated $5 million by the developer.

Bob Benes, president of Lincoln, Neb.-based Aspen Builders, said the initial phase of the Stephens Ridge project includes lots for 14 town homes, with 40 lots for individual houses. The overall plan will include more than 200 homes. . .

Benes' wife, Michelle, is a member of the Zuch family from Oakland, and her father works at Treynor Ag Supply. With a strong interest in the welfare of the community, the idea is to help build a bigger and better Treynor, said Benes, who grew up west of Lincoln.

"Our goal here, in doing this subdivision, is to get enough rooftops where we can get a grocery store back in this community," he said. "Who knows what else."
"Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved."
