Kentucky Fried Chicken is expected to begin building a new restaurant on the corner of 28th Street and West Broadway as soon as the buildings standing there are demolished. . .
The vacant structure at 2800 W. Broadway was previously home to the U.S. Service Co., Comic City and Coberly's Real Imaging.
"We will be catty-corner to Taco Bell," Manning said. "That whole corner will be ours."
Another building at 2810 W. Broadway, which used to be home to a florist, and a vacant house at 16 N. 28th St. will also be torn down to accommodate the larger, modern KFC. . . .
This building on 28th Street and West Broadway will be demolished to make way for a new Kentucky Fried Chicken.
