Tree Planting

Post by thenewguy »

Does anyone know the rules (or who to contact---i called the courthouse and couldn't find out) for planting trees between your side walk and the street?  I had heard a while back that if you contacted the city, they could come and plant trees for you, or that you may have to contact them and get permission to do so if they didn't.   I think there's a height limit (i think 20' or shorter), but other than that, i don't know.  I'll keep looking online, but i figured someone here would probably know :)

Not sure about that, but you have to call the diggers hot-line before you dig.

Presumably, between the sidewalk and street is City Right of Way.  Contact City Hall, probably Public Works would be the best place to start.
