I grew up in the Sioux Falls area and saw this and thought it was kind of cool
Anyone, anywhere in the world can now take a stroll down the streets of downtown Sioux Falls thanks to a new 3-D model of the area.
A handful of Koch Hazard Architects employees have worked for the past five years to make the model, which includes more than 100 of the city’s buildings and businesses in downtown Sioux Falls that can be viewed for free through Google Earth, a program that allows users to travel the world through a virtual globe and view satellite imagery, maps, terrain and 3-D buildings.
Koch Hazard employees spent more than 1,000 man hoursmaking the 3-D model, which included mapping out downtown and taking pictures of each building in the area of 14th Street and Falls Park and Minnesota and 2nd avenues.
