Kind of a neat story and achievement for the Zoo in Des Moines.

They had a new birth of an Eastern black Rhino. Fewerer than 1000 total left in existance per the story.

The unnamed 80-pound calf, a female, was born to mom Ayana and dad Kiano, the south-side park’s rare eastern black rhinos, about 11:23 a.m. Oct. 11 on the zoo’s grounds.

Saw that on the news. It's been a few years since we've been there. Going to have to make a trip in the next couple weeks.
