Welcome to Silicon Prairie.

AutoAlert, a California-based leader in software solutions for auto dealers, has been offered a state Missouri Works grant of as much as $9.2 million for moving its headquarters to downtown Kansas City.

The company, which is headquartered in Irvine, Calif., is expected to create more than 300 high-paying tech jobs at the new location.
Awesome news for DTKC.

Wow... Good for KC. I wonder what CA people will think of their new home? Colder winters will be something new, but nowadays, the Midwest winters seem warmer.

I was just down in KC over the weekend. Love KC.

By the way, a major company down there, Cerner, is building an amazing new campus (within view of I-435) where the Bannister Mall used to be (it was all removed). Anyways, they have two buildings built so far. They are amazing. They have kinda waves in them, with a chaotic order of long, vertical panes of glass down the sides of them. I'm very, VERY impressed with the exciting design. Here's the two completed buildings: http://media2.kshb.com/photo/2017/02/06 ... 40_480.jpg (In person, from I-435, they look even more striking.)
I can get pushed out because I'm "too much" for some. Then, an observer of me comes suddenly swooping in to "fill my shoes." People are always more accepting of the new one, because their feathers aren't truly ruffled by them. (Yawn) I can count on it every time.
