New Kansas City MEGA Waterpark

Post by Linkin5 »

In case some of you didn't hear schlitterbahn waterparks announced plans to build a HUGE $300 Million waterpark in Kansas City. They hope to open it in three years, and it will be located near the Kansas Speedway. This isn't exactly the best news for Omaha in hopes to attract a major waterpark/amusement park. :(

Omaha doesn't need a 'major' water park/amusement park... merely one sufficiently large enough to please the locals.

I would venture to say that Oceans of Fun is not happy about that either.

(Edited for immature content) Hey if the twin cities can get the biggest mall why can’t we have the biggest amusement park? Oh and good for KC, they can brag about some things but we sure have stuff to brag about as well.

Because it is very cold for a good portion of the year and malls are enclosed?

Yeah that’s exactly why I’m going to Village Point this winter instead of Westroads. HA! It could happen.

Hey my wife and I went to Village Pointe many times last winter and walked around. We went on the mild days (and a few cold ones) but still enjoyed ourselves.
