When Casino Omaha was built it was considered to be one of the most classy between Atlantic City and Las Vegas. It was clean and nice at the time. It had a big buffet/restaurant which was very good at the time. It was CROWDED and at busy times you had trouble finding an open machine.
It was very close in scale and class to Mystic Lake up in Shakopee if you know that one.
In the heyday they had a large convenience store and truck stop complex across the street, and entertainment stands (racing, concerts, acts) to the north.
When the casinos in CB opened the crowds eased off quite a bit, but it was still nice for several years.
Then it went down hill, maybe starting 5-7 years ago. Broken machines at the bar were never fixed, they scaled back on the buffet, and then it started looking dirty and seedy, but never as bad as the quonset hut casinos that are stereotypical for native gaming.
I haven't been there for maybe 2 years. Last time I remember they had some newer penny machines but the whole place was looking run-down.
