Midtown Crossing Shuttle

Post by Brad »

Midtown Crossing's free event shuttle is a hit, the convenient way to enjoy more fun - with less fuss - during your weekend! Simply park in one of our garages (first three hours free) and then shuttle to some of Omaha's other popular destinations. No fighting for parking. No paying expensive parking fees.

The weekend event shuttle runs:
   • Every Friday and Saturday night with service from 5 p.m. to 12 p.m. (midnight)
   • Thursday evenings during Jazz on the Green from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The shuttle route includes the following pick-up/drop-off locations:
   • Midtown Crossing at Turner Park, 31st and Farnam Street next to the MAT stop
   • Holland Performing Arts Center, 13th and Douglas (west side)
   • North Downtown/Stadium (Holiday Inn), 1420 Cuming St.
   • Qwest Center (Hilton Omaha), 1001 Cass St.
   • Old Market (Greater Omaha Chamber), 13th and Howard St. near Metro Bus Stop
The shuttle runs a continuous loop at the top and bottom of the hour originating from Midtown Crossing

*NEW! Sports fans, now you can save money and avoid the usual parking hassles, too!*

Midtown Crossing has added a specially-designated shuttle for every Omaha Nighthawks, Creighton Men's Basketball and UNO Hockey home games.

   •  Game night shuttle service begins two hours prior to game time and ends 90 minutes after the game ends.
   •  The shuttle runs a continuous loop from Midtown Crossing to Rosenblatt Stadium (Nighthawks) or the Qwest Center
      (Creighton/UNO) approximately every 15-30 minutes.

* There may be possible delays due to traffic so please arrive early!

Parking:
Midtown Crossing offers convenient and secure parking for more than 3,000 vehicles. Two parking garages are easily accessible from 33rd, Farnam and Harney Streets. In both garages, the first three hours are free, and visitors pay only $1 for each hour thereafter (with a daily maximum fee of $6). Short-term (max. 2 hours) metered parking is available on Farnam Street and within Turner Park, accessible from 31st Avenue.

Convenience not compromise. It's how we are redefining urban living. For comments/questions regarding either shuttle please call 402-934-9396.

We have taken the shuttle several times now.  If you live outside of downtown and don't take the shuttle, you are missing out.

Last night when it was freezing rain, we parked in the garage and took the shuttle down to the Qwest Center.  After the hockey game the car was dry, no scraping ice off of the windows.  The shuttle also drops you off and picks you up at the at the front door of the Qwest center.

Garage is Free for the first 3 hours, $1 each hour after that with a $6 a day max.

Nice point about weather-related issues, Brad.

I was under the impression that the service went past closing time on Friday and Saturday... as in past 2:00 AM.

Now that the weather is nasty, my wife and I use it whenever we go out downtown (or North Downtown or Old Market) on the weekend.  Before it got cold, we'd usually just ride our tandem).  We're a 5-minute walk from MTC, so it's really convenient for us.  We don't go out as often now that we're in the middle of renovating a house (along with paying rent and a mortgage, lol), and when we do we usually go to Glo.

When they started, it did run to 2am, but it appears they cut it back to midnight.  It's unfortunate, but I'm glad they're still offering it.

Absolutely! Seth, to a certain extent, I live vicariously through your Omaha life since I'm living in Albany currently.  8)
