Lincoln to Omaha

Post by omaproud »

My brother in Lincoln doesn't have a driver's license and he needs to get to Omaha for a family gathering.  Does anyone have any advice/knowledge of transportation options between the two cities.  I'm told Greyhound bus doesn't go to Lincoln anymore.  Trailways bus lists one departure to Omaha, but it is 4:10 am.  Google turns up van service via Omalink, A&B Shuttle, Eppley Express, Dashabout Shuttle, but they all seem geared toward getting Lincolnites to Eppley.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes.  It is usually running way late, but usually goes from Lincoln to Omaha in the early morning and from Omaha to Lincoln in the late night.

Departs Lincoln 4:47am Arrives Omaha 5:59 am

Departs Omaha 10:39 pm Arrives in Lincoln 12:08 am

Thanks Brad, but those times don't really work, and I do know that Amtrack  is NEVER on time.

I'm with ya Big E, but he's been bumming rides from family members for too long now.  Was hoping for a way for him to take a little personal responsibility.  Sadly, we all know how poor public transportation is in Nebraska, even between the two largest cities!  Omahalink.com shows 9 van departures each day.  Round trip price $75.00!

Just as I thought!  No one here can help because there virtually is no public transportation between Nebraska's two largest cities!

I will go get him for $74.99. :;):

I he didn't mind hanging out for a while, it looks like amtrak is the best option.

Greyhound doesn't stop in Lincoln????  When I lived there it sure did (as it had a terminal next to my workplace).  That seems strange to me for a city that size.
