Indian Motorcycles coming to Omaha

Post by nebugeater »

There was a blurb, I believe in the Gretna paper, in the last two or three weeks about a zone change, or some sort of approval for a motorcycle / ATV dealership that wanted to come into the Outlet mall area.  I doubt very much that this is it, but.......

Don't know much about the Indian bikes or there dealerships.  Do they like to locate close to the Interstate in other locations?  Seems like a lot of bike places do.  If that was a factor maybe the outlet mall property is an option.

In the Gretna Guide and News dated Sept 17th there is a story about the outlet mall.  They have a limited amount of their content on line and as of NOW this story was not there.  Anyway, the story lists some of the new businesses that are coming to the mall and one IS the Indian Motorcycle franchise.  They say that it is part of a dealership out of Lincoln that recently got a franchise agreement for the Indian line but did not say who from Lincoln it was.  The location will be in the East end of Nebraska Crossing in the location that most recently housed the auction company.  The plan is to be open by Nov 1.

Indian Motorcycle is now up and running at Nebraska Crossing and is located on the far east side of the development.

Been open for about two months.

There is also a new store at the Outlet mall called  The Jerky Factory.  If is near the Motorcycle end of the mall, maybe five storefronts away.  Don't know much about it but I believe it is an extension of a business from Plattsmith.

Been meaning to mention this for a while but haven't gotten to it.  The Indian motorcycle shop has been closed for a while.  All of the inventory is in the store from what I can tell driving by.  Recently there has been a small sign on the door that says they will be opening again in January with new Ownership / Management.  Don't remember for sure witch it said.

One of the local big names is planning to building a new Indian dealership adjacent to one of their existing buildings. Confirmed from 2 different sources.
