Awesome! I don't smoke anymore but would partake in some hookah from time to time if there were a nice establishment.

Haven't seen a hookah for 30 years, but there was a time......

Oasis/Taza closed? or was this a different location from DT?
Re: The Oasis Hookah Bar (former Sweets of Eden)
Oasis now Taza moved a year or two ago. They're not on 16th anymore. I don't know the street off the top of my head but I think they face the south side of Central Park Plaza.Omaha_Gabe wrote:ItsAllAboutMe wrote:Interior demolition has been inprogress in the space located below King Fongs. When fortune smiles on something as violent and ugly as revenge, it seems proof like no other that not only does God exist, you're doing his will.

Given an opportunity to file change of business plan.
Re: The Oasis Hookah Bar (former Sweets of Eden)
I wonder if they make enough from the hookah business to not sell booze and stay open?

Isn't that what they were doing before 'Bar Rescue' gave them a dance floor and told them to sell more drinks?iamjacobm wrote:I wonder if they make enough from the hookah business to not sell booze and stay open?
What is the difference between a Hookah Bar and a Nightclub? I thought they served drinks before that change.
Re: The Oasis Hookah Bar (former Sweets of Eden)
The did serve drinks before the change. Remember they were dispensing drinks out of old water jugs which Taffer said made toxic chemicals.Coyote wrote:Isn't that what they were doing before 'Bar Rescue' gave them a dance floor and told them to sell more drinks?iamjacobm wrote:I wonder if they make enough from the hookah business to not sell booze and stay open?

Re: The Oasis Hookah Bar (former Sweets of Eden)
I remember that the kid got sick on his drink and his girlfriend didn't like hers either.
That's why I was wondering what sort of liquor license they had to begin with, and if all he needs to do is to revert to his previous game plan.

Re: Bar Rescue in the Omaha Metro (possibly 3 bars)
The City Council voted to ask the Liquor Commission to not issue Taza Hookah Lounge a liquor license. I wonder why they do not use the Good Neighbor Ordinance that could shut them down.

Now that's a great combination, alcohol and ax throwing. Sign me up!
Re: Taza Nightclub (former Oasis and Sweets of Eden)
Yeah I have seen them in Austin, I just figured you are already mixing alcohol and axes, you might as well lower the property damage risk ha.iamjacobm wrote: ↑Thu Jun 07, 2018 4:27 pmIndoor ones with a bar are the new craze that is popping up everywhere.Louie wrote: ↑Thu Jun 07, 2018 4:20 pmIndoor ax throwing?
