So how do these operate within the smoking ban?  Are they considered "cigars" for the exemption?

For shame! Almost a hooker bar. Not quite, but one can wish.

Oasis Hooker bar would be quite perfect. Looks like something entirely different from far away, and then woops! Close-up!

I'm wondering that too. Also can you bring your own stash in or what? If so then I am there waking and bak...frequenting a DT business. :)

Awesome! I don't smoke anymore but would partake in some hookah from time to time if there were a nice establishment.

So - what is the difference between a hookah and a bong - wouldn't that come close to being in possession of drug paraphernalia?

A hookah is basically a bong for more than one user at a time. The only thing that makes a pipe "drug" paraphernalia is what you put in it.

Oasis now Taza moved a year or two ago. They're not on 16th anymore. I don't know the street off the top of my head but I think they face the south side of Central Park Plaza.

I wonder if they make enough from the hookah business to not sell booze and stay open?

Isn't that what they were doing before 'Bar Rescue' gave them a dance floor and told them to sell more drinks?
What is the difference between a Hookah Bar and a Nightclub? I thought they served drinks before that change.

The did serve drinks before the change. Remember they were dispensing drinks out of old water jugs which Taffer said made toxic chemicals.

I remember that the kid got sick on his drink and his girlfriend didn't like hers either.
That's why I was wondering what sort of liquor license they had to begin with, and if all he needs to do is to revert to his previous game plan.

The City Council voted to ask the Liquor Commission to not issue Taza Hookah Lounge a liquor license. I wonder why they do not use the Good Neighbor Ordinance that could shut them down.

Yeah I have seen them in Austin, I just figured you are already mixing alcohol and axes, you might as well lower the property damage risk ha.
