We went there July third.  Fries were great.  Was not a fan of the beer though.  Had been drinking Boulevard at Beercade, and thought that was much better in comparison.  Nice place.

Unfortunately I hear this all too often, nice place, but the beer is not comparable. Reason #2 why 318: North End Brewery may not happen.

They are in the process of expanding into the storefront next to theirs. Will be open in a month and add 40 to 50 seats.

I was there last night and it was an hour and a half wait minimum. Looks like they could use the extra space. Ended up going down to Mantra which was pretty good, would be nice if it were 6 blocks east though.

Looking forward to when their beer aged in Nebraska clay will be released.

Do they still own the building East of Hot Shops, where they had planned to open a brewery? Still finishing up the tasting room on Farnam?

I really hope they are just holding off remodeling the exterior of the building, it looks awful.

Now there’s a new chef, David Meegan, a new brewmaster, Jimmy Vollmer, and a new manager, Chad Rozniecki. There’s an entirely new menu and a new, much longer list of house-crafted beers. The dining room has been expanded on the east side, and there’s an outdoor beer garden. There’s a new, needed focus on service.

The Benson Brewery of today serves local craft beers paired with the kind of food the brews long for. I like the atmosphere as much as I did two years ago. What’s changed is that now I like almost everything else, too.

Yep I really like this place. I hope they update the façade on their expansion it looks bad right now.

I would disagree on the facade. I like its simplistic and modern look.
