GREEN DAY GEARS UP FOR ARENA TOUR
The punk trio that has remained at the top of the charts for more than a decade; gave its latest album, "American Idiot," a dose of fiery politics; and has six nominations in the 47th Annual Grammy Awards to be announced Sunday night on CBS . . . will perform its first arena concert in Iowa this spring.
Green Day is due to hit the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids on May 11. Tickets should go on sale Feb. 19, with prices and more info TBA. The band also has booked nearby dates in Kansas City (May 14 at Kemper Arena) and Omaha (May 15 at the Qwest Center).
