Zac Triemert, one of the founders and former president of La Vista's Lucky Bucket Brewing Co., has left the company and plans to open a new brewery and distillery in downtown Omaha.
Triemert's new business, Borgata, will be a brewery and distillery that also includes a tasting room. Triemert said he and his business partner, his wife, Holly Mulkins Triemert, haven't decided on a location yet, but they've narrowed it to four possibilities, all located in the the Old Market, north downtown or in between. Triemert said he hoped to finalize the location in the next month and to open for business in about a year.

Feline sillage aside....is it just me or does this location seem rather small for a brewery and tasting room? Â Perhaps more of a boutique operation?

We are very excited to announce that the future home of Borgata Brewery & Distillery will be at 1116 Jackson St, Old Market, Omaha!
Please stay tuned for updates as we'll be posting on the status of construction ( to start in early June) and upcoming launch events! And thank you for all of the support and enthusiasm we've received thus far

Would be cool if they moved to the old House of Lee building, there was a lot of work going on inside there the other day.

not nearly big enough. I can't remember exactly where they're moving so I won't venture a guess and be wrong.

That's good too, but sometimes it just doesn't seem to have all the flavor an IPA should have... Could be where I am drinking it too...

I got a good look inside today. Nice size space, wonder how they will use it... Work started a little while ago. Will have a great location once the hotel opens.

The 1st of our equipment has arrived! The boiler. It may not seem like much, but neither the brewery or distillery can operate w/o it. It's kind of a big deal....

With all that is happening in the Old Market the past year or so, it is not an exaggeration to say that it continues to reinvent itself as a place to live, work, dine, drink, shop and generally celebrate life.

I confess. No. I'm getting better, though, and expanding my horizons. There's a beer I found called "Third Shift" I really like, but that's as dark as I'll go.

"Street Landscaping Planters with native grasses and flowers, no trees". I wonder what grasses are native to the Old Market?
