Was it that much? :D
My son got a 27 on his ACT. No this score is not as high as what Jeff's son achieved. But one has to remember the paternal gene-pool my son has to overcome. On a PGPAB [Paternal Gene-Pool Adjusted Basis], my son's score is a 37 and Jeff's son's PGPAB ACT score is 19.

I don't remember for sure either, but seriously I was thinking $1.75.

That's a pretty great promotion.

Which stores stock their beer these days? I haven't seen it in my local Bakers or HyVee.

I think they have been off the shelves for a while with the branding change. I will have to keep an eye out for the new cans.

That's got to be pretty rough on a business when you're trying to maintain a cash flow.

I noticed Cubbys in the Old Market has the six packs in the cooler. They are $7.99 I believe. Anyone know what they run anywhere else? Cubbys is usually pretty high for most stuff. Maybe they are the same price everywhere, but I thought it might be cheaper somewhere else.

$7.99 isn't that bad for a craft beer. That is cheeper than NBC's going rate where ever I see it.

IIRC, that was about what it cost at Hy Vee.

In the paper: I think I might have to go over there and "trade in" some of my old beer at home.
Trade in your bad beer for Brickway brews

Brickway Brewery and Distillery can transform the |expletive| beer you have around the house into something better this week.

The brewery will host a bad beer amnesty week, beginning Sunday and running through Sept. 19.
Bring your beer to 1117 Jackson St., and the folks there will exchange it for a Brickway six-pack. Events planned for the week include a beer dunk tank and a beer slip and slide.

Went here this weekend. The beer was amazing! Me and the girlfriend enjoy going to different craft breweries and, as far as beer goes, this is probably my favorite.

Before I switched to light beers, this was my favorite as well. I don't go there any more, but I enjoyed their beer.

All of the craft beer places in Nebraska need to nut up and take the light beer challenge. Use their collective beer making skills to make a dunkel or stout, or dark lager that has 5 grams of carbs/12 oz serving. The first one that does this successfully will have my undying love and I will gladly buy a large quantity of it.

Beer amnesty week starts this Sunday October 16 and runs through Sat October 22nd. Bring in a six pack of old beer and they will swap you out for a fresh 6-pk of Brickway Beer.

Not sure how I feel about this. Hopefully it does not affect their brewery business at all.

Funny thing about this... Zac told me one of the reasons he left Upstream to found Lucky Bucket, was to get out of the food business.

People and businesses change. Borgata is in the OM and will need to compete with other restaurants. Some of the places that used to carry his beers (J's on Jackson for example) don't serve Borgata anymore. There are more beer brewers. His whiskey's so far have been just OK, better than Cutspike, but not a market mover. This brings in new revenue.

If you have not tried their liquor you should do yourself a favor and do so. Best kept secret in the store, especially their gin. Rivals the big brands and generally cheaper. Really nice to have such good local stuff.

Their liquor is pretty good.

Their ginger beer is an abomination and affront to cocktails everywhere. I always ask what ginger beer a restaurant or bar uses now. If it's Brickway, I won't order a moscow mule from them. It completely ruins the drink. They tried to almost go diet with it or something and it just tastes like flat soda.

I saw on Facebook that Brickway has now moved all its brewing operations and equipment to Lucky Bucket and said "Don't worry we still have our tap room and we are still distilling in the Old Market".
