Went to this place for lunch.  It was alright, they aren't going to win any awards, but they weren't bad either.  Burgers are about as subjective as Pizza so some will love, some will hate.  They weren't super juicy like some places where the fat runs all down your arm when you bite in to it, but they weren't dry either.  All the burger patties are mad fresh, never frozen.  The Burgers themselves were only $5.50  More if you get fries and a drink.

Right now they only have soda, no ice tea, no booze.  However they are going to add fresh brew Ice Tea.

I wasn't expecting much from Bulldog Burgers since it is just a small bay in an out of the way small strip mall in NW Omaha. But I was pleasantly surprised. Bulldog is owned by Chuck Pratt (a former Lancer and hence the restaurant is half hockey themed) who comes from a South Omaha Beef packing family (O'Neill Packing) and carries the best and freshest Kobe beef around, and you can tell. The burger looked small, but once you bite into it you see the stacked real beef. They also get all their bread products from Rotella's so the burger is as fresh as you would want it. The Tuesday special gives you a half priced burger if you order a drink and a side, and they have excellent sweet potato fries, that are really to die for. They also have a Breakfast Burger (Fried Egg, Chorizo Sausage Chipotle Sauce... and a ranch BLT Burger among other regular ($6) Burgers. II would but this in the top quarter of burger places in Omaha. I'll be back next Tuesday!

I went here yesterday, and was happy. Tuesday is 1/2 price burger day also. The same burger at Fuddruckers or Five Guys would be $8-9 normal price.

Wow that is sad. I liked the food. They did change the munu a lot. I liked the fresh cut fries when they had those. Half price on Tuesday was nice. There was a recent OWH Daily Deal too.

It wasn't in the best location. Access was difficult the first time going. Better off of Fort.

IIRC, the owner came from a meat packing family, and had a good source of Kobe (Wagyu) beef that would be very marketable, I had been in there a half dozen times and the product was above average and the staff seemed on the ball... The location was along a growing corner, but they may not have had great signage, or an easy entrance, advertisement only by word of mouth? may have been the culprit.

Funny, the only times went there was a lunch on work days. But not very often. That said it was only 5 min from Miracle Hills, and there are a ton of us that work in the Miracle Hills/old mill area. I would much rather drive from my office to 120 and fort than I would drive to 120 and Center!

I pass the place daily. It's really non-obvious. They really did not have enough time to build a customer base, generate a lot of word of mouth praises, etc.

I really hate to see places like that fail. I would much rather have a place like that than Five-Fud-Smashers or something like that.

My guess is that they were probably marginally capitalized and did not have the resources necessary to make it over the hump.

Yeah, should have targeted Miracle Hills, very easy to get to location from there.
