I really liked this place today.  They had great beer and the guy was super nicce.

Highlights:
Started as a beer club
Kegs only for now
Looking at bottling
Care more about beer than getting big.

I can't remember if all the partners were teachers or just the guy helping us today.

The guy John who is pictured here was an art teacher, the other mentioned was the principle of the middle school. Another teacher came in and she was celebrating a grant and had a beer with us.

Having an actual creek named "Keg Creek" running less than 25 yards from the building... what a luxury when naming your brew. I've tired it a couple times, found it as good as any other craft brew. You can find Keg Creek in CB HyVee's now.

Brad and I were talking about that. Funny how that name was not already taken somewhere.
I had their Stout, and I would put that against almost any other Stout around. It was good!

Review: Brewery is a bit of a drive but worth it for the beer

Megan Parrott / World-Herald correspondent wrote:Keg Creek’s story mirrors that of many microbreweries, in that its founders started their journey as home brewers before expanding into a retail operation in 2001. Keg Creek’s home base in Glenwood — about 30 minutes southeast of Omaha — is a display case for two things: small-town pride and passion for all things craft beer.

Went to Keg Creek today. Place was really busy. Besides their 6 core beers, they had at least another 6 specialty/seasonal brews. In the hour or so that I was siting there, I bet they filled at least 20 growlers. One guy alone brought in 8 growlers himself! They had a good mix of regulars and first timers. Their mug club is now up to 600 members!

The big news, they are growing!!! They are moving to the south end of Glenwood. They will be on that road south of the highway that runs from Glenwood to Pacific Junction. (I always called it P-Junk" but the regulars called it "P.J."). They are growing from a 2 Barrel brew operation to a 12 barrel brew operation. The new place will have a bottling line and they will soon be selling 6-packs in both Iowa and Nebraska!

Great to see yet another local brewery doing really well!
