Just found out it will be a Pizza joint that Ethan Bondelid (House of Loom, Barry & Rye, Wicked Rabbit) has wanted to open for some time, it will stay open for after play fans.
Omaha World Herald wrote: Bondelid also is behind the coming Via Farina, a pizza parlor that will zip wood-fired specialties to the growing customer base via a fleet of Italian scooters. Embracing the Little Italy charm, Bondelid said he and business partner Paul Kulik (of Le Bouillon and the Boiler Room Restaurant) are creating a modern Italian vibe at Via Farina

Any idea when they are finally going to open? I thought it was going to occur by the end of 2015.

I haven't actually been in the building, but a friend picked up a couple of pies from there one evening. Quality wood fired oven pizza. Fresh ingredients. I would put it on par with Dantes....

I live about a block or so away and have been three times. I think the food is great and the atmosphere/ambiance is appealing as well. The inside is really well done in my opinion. The wood oven kind of serves as a centerpiece in the back of the restaurant. I thing the pizza is very reasonably price, the pasta not so much, and the alcohol seems a bit high - but that might be expected. The patio area is a nice as well. It is great to see it doing so well. I was turned away the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend because it was too packed. Every time I've been there it has been packed. Love seeing businesses in this area doing well.
